Based in Edinburgh, Clive's artistic practice embodies a dynamic blend of collaboration and interdisciplinary exploration within the realms of sculpture and sound art.
He operates from the Sett Studios, a collaborative space nestled in Leith, Edinburgh, where he dwells through form and space, by employing materials such as molten salt to redefine shapes and bring new resonances into their make up.
Since 2018, Clive has been collaborating with Louisa Love to form OOR_Scintilla, a sound art duo. Together, they explore the nuances of sound, voice, and environment, drawing inspiration from ancient origins and local folklore. Their collaborative process delvesinto the intricate connections between individuals, landscapes, histories, technologies, and natural phenomena, employing sounding and listening as immersive modes of inquiry.
Additionally, Clive collaborates with Catarina Figueiredo on the video project Mafarricos.
He lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Clive and Fiona work together regularly. Their projects include the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop Bell Project, they participate in the group IMP - In My Presence (a sculpture, sound and dance improvisation group), and the project Burrow Knowe for Tokyo’s Siren Records.
We were honored to unveil their work in our Volume III.
