The landscapes Deniz Ezgi Sürek creates are dominated by a
narrative that challenges the notion that everything exists for humanity. Her
works aim to show that humanity is not at the center of the ecological cycle
and that life can be sustained through interdependence and balance. The common
themes in her compositions, which are primarily digital collages of her
photographs, include cycles, balance, incompleteness, construction, hybridity,
transience, serenity, and being simultaneously unusual yet familiar.
She participated in the group exhibitions:
İcra ve Zarafet (Vulture, Erimtan Müzesi, 2022)
Dün, Bugün, İstanbul (Memento Mori, Sabancı Müzesi, 2021)
Pandemi
Günlerinde Fotoğraf (Sunset, İstanbul Modern, 2020)
Blended (Vulture, Mixer, 2019)
The 8th Dali International Photography Exhibition (Dual
Citizenship, 2019)

We are honored to present her work in our Volume VII.
